Transforming our Faith

We can talk and talk and talk about what our life will look like when we change our thinking; and we can speculate and speculate and speculate about our infinite possibilities and the field of pure potentiality, and the creative nature of the Divine, but until we apply these ideas that we talk about, nothing changes.

When we are busy talking and speculating, we aren't practicing and we aren't consciously utilizing the principles we say we believe in. Faith must be lived and not just talked about. So often, we try something once or twice and if it doesn't work, we quickly give up and revert to our habitual thinking. Our faith is in the familiar and what we can see operating in our lives.

It's time to stop looking to the outer and start looking within to see the love, faith, and wonder that we are. When we can transform our faith from judging by appearances to knowing that what is seen was created from what is unseen; transform our faith from believing the words of experts to tapping into and trusting our own genius; transform our faith in our stories that identify us and thinking we are small, limited, and flawed to understanding that we truly are wonderful and awesome beings  - then we can utilize all we talk about and all we speculate about and move these ideas into action in our lives (whew! that was some long sentence, huh?)

It might just be time to take a leap of faith and see what Spirit can do through you!

Wisdom from Ernest Holmes
It is not going to take any more faith than we now have, for one of the greatest lessons we can learn about faith is that we always possess it. But too often we are using it negatively. As a matter of fact, we are always affirming something, be it for good or for ill. We are always either saying, "I can," or "I cannot." What we need to do is to eliminate the negative and accentuate the positive. In doing this we shall gradually acquire the habit of affirmative thinking
