Our Wake-Up Call

When we check in with ourselves to determine what sort of 'vibes' we are giving out to the universe, do we find we are living from a standpoint of restriction or frustration? In what ways have we been holding ourselves back and playing it safe? What are we afraid to dream of? What old patterns keep coming up that are causing frustration or pain?

When we can answer those questions and honestly assess where we are (and not in a condemning or judgmental way, of course) we can begin the healing/revealing process and help unclog our high vibration, super-attracting pipes. What have you been attracting or creating in your life that needs to be unclogged?

For me, I've been creating from my false belief that I'm not enough and I have recently encountered situations where I feel like I'm not seen, not important, and not enough. These are small incidents and easy to toss aside and ignore; and I don't want to ignore them just in case I end up creating big incidents that I can't ignore.

I'm choosing to consider these situations as a 'wake-up call' to step more boldly into my life as Source, and to consider I am actually dying to my belief that I am not enough and that this particular dragon is not going down without a last-ditch effort to fight! With this viewpoint, I can bring the high vibrational energy of joy, gratitude, and compassion to these experiences and transform them - and not get sucked into them.

What beliefs might you be dying to even though they may still be appearing in your life? Could they simply be the remnants of something old fading away?

Wisdom from Ernest Holmes
Free yourself forever from the thought that God may be pleased by a life of sacrifice, that the world is any better because of your misery, or that righteousness is more perfectly expressed through poverty than abundance. Know that the greater abundance of every good thing which you are bringing out in your life, the more perfectly you are satisfying the Divine Urge within you. ANYTHING YOU CAN DREAM OF is not too great for you to undertake, if it hurts no one and brings happiness and good into your life         ~The Science of Mind

The Bridge That Gets You There

We've all heard the phrase, "you can't get there from here" and sometimes it seems as if our 'there' is really, really far away and we don't know how to get 'there.' Of course, spiritually speaking, there is no here or there, everything is One. However, in our human experience, we can feel the longing or the discomfort  between where we are and where we want to go; between where we are and how we want to live life fully and on purpose.

We can get there from here if we are willing to bridge the gap between where we are and where we want to be. And when we build that bridge, it can feel like it is a suspension bridge that is poorly built, wobbly, and really scary. So we tend to retreat back to what feels safe and comfortable.

Although I am afraid of heights, my daughter and I both crossed the Capilano suspension bridge (pictured) and I was scared. Really scared. It was wobbly and a drop of 230 feet. I was completely in the present moment, focusing on my very next step with the end clearly in mind.

Safe and comfortable is the not the way to our brilliance. Safe and comfortable lands us firmly in mediocrity. Safe and comfortable is easy (and dare I say boring??). One of the best things we can do for ourselves is push our upper limits and let go of our limiting ideas that we are flawed, or we aren't worthy, or we aren't good enough, or we aren't lovable (you get the idea). And who knows, you might find wobbly exciting! Let me know how it goes.

Take one step at a time, keep your focus on the end result, and trust your inner wisdom that you are crossing the bridge that leads you back to yourself.

Wisdom from Ernest Holmes
Here we may meet difficulties, uncertainties and doubts, barriers walling our passage. But we must not be discouraged when so confronted. We must climb over the rocks of unbelief, pass around the barriers of doubt, and plunge into the stream with faith. The stream will ever widen; the barriers will gradually disappear; though we walk through the plains and valleys of indecision and doubt, the stream will still carry us back to the ocean of our being.

Transformation Through Trouble

We know that it is the Nature of Creation to evolve. And we also know that the Universe uses chaos, disintegration, falling apart, stirring up, breaking down, explosions - all sorts of things that could look messy - as vehicles of that evolution.

And we also know that within all of that chaos, there is already a potentiality for expansion and evolution. And we know that we are part of the Nature of the Universe; yet, within our own chaos (or falling apart, stirring up, or breaking down) we seem to forget there is a potentiality for our own expansion and evolution.

How many of us consciously look forward to ourchallenges or troubles embracing them as tools of transformation? How many of us just want to have a challenge-free life? How many of us get so involved in the chaos and drama, we forget to evolve, grow, and transform?

We always have options. We can get angry, complain, and resist what's going on. This will not help us evolve and transform. Or we can be open, neutral, count our blessings, put God first, not judge by appearance, be excited about the transformation that is bound to follow the experience, look for the possibility and blessing, continue moving forward, and not allow our troubles to identify us. Which will you choose?

And yes,
it is okay to get angry and feel your feelings when challenges and troubles come up. Just don't build a condo there, okay?

Wisdom from Ernest Holmes
Our trouble is not derived from Life Itself, but from the use we have made of It.  Life exists in Its fullness at the center of our being.  If it were never blocked, It would always flow through us as life, love, harmony, happiness and success

Unexpected Obstacles

We all want smooth roads and smooth sailings, don't we? We all want a life free of struggle, drama, fear, anxiety, and strife. And yet, smooth roads don't create good drivers and calm seas don't develop good sailors. And a problem-free and hassle-free life may not grow our faith or make us strong. In fact, we are likely to encounter unexpected obstacles on our path and it is how we approach these obstacles that will allow us to create our lives from a sense of wonder and infinite possibilities or stop us in our tracks and set us up with infinite excuses. We get to choose.

When we can remember that "All is Well" no matter what obstacle we may encounter, our minds are free to rise up a new level of consciousness from which to look for a solution. You see, when we can be 'well' within ourselves, we can be well with the world. But when we are not 'well' with ourselves - when we think there is something wrong with us, that we are less than, that we don't get the breaks, that we don't have value or worth, that we are a phony, that we are flawed or damaged in some way, then these unexpected obstacles become important.

And regardless of what shows up for us in life that looks dim, grim, and dark, we can still be well within ourselves and remember our passion and our purpose and not get tricked into thinking that anything in the outer world can affect what we think of ourselves. We are a majority of ONE. We are God in action, expressing Life and Love and Passion and Purpose and Exuberance and Awesomeness like no one else on planet Earth. And there are no unexpected obstacles that can deny that Truth.

Sometimes the way through, is over or under or even around the obstacle. And we can enjoy the scenery along the way. Right?
